norfolk signs defenseman trevor campbell

Another blueliner.

Norfolk added another player on their backend with the addition of Trevor Campbell.  The defenseman played years in the NCAA with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. Campbell is more of an offensive-style defenseman, compiling 28 points in 34 games last year. He was 2nd amongst UAF blueliners behind team captain Colton Parayko, a St. Louis Blues prospect. His totals also made him 5th on the team.

Campbell made a brief appearance with Bakersfield at the end of last year. He played 11 games and amassed only 2 points.  As this was his first taste of pro hockey, I might attribute this to learning the speed of the game. Campbell is another rookie that will be on the team, along with Kain Allicock and possibly Alexis Loiseau and Braden Christoffer. The last two are on AHL contracts, meaning they might break in with the *new* Condors.

More signings will continue to come in, and hopefully top scorers don’t get continued to get traded.
