bakersfield and norfolk release camp notes

Hockey starts next week!

Bakersfield started their camp today, with a few Admirals. Norfolk will receive all players on ECHL contracts, and most likely an AHL contract or two.  Not to be outdone, the Admirals released their camp schedule today. The Ads’ roster for camp is obviously not set yet, but should be a bit filled out before next Monday’s practice. Admirals at camp:

Tim Daly-Rookie Defenseman

Joe Marciano-Returning defenseman, third year with Condors organization

Charles-Olivier Roussel- Defenseman, former 2nd round pick

Josh Currie- Third year RW

Jonathan Lessard- third-year LW

Michael Pelech-AHL/ECHL vet should be top scoring vet

Alexandre Ranger-Rookie RW from the Q

Steve Whitney-Former Ad during Ducks regime

Eight ECHL contracts with a few AHL contracts that may make their way down to the Ads. Expect a clearer picture on who will be part of the team near the end of the week.  An interesting player at Condors camp is Daniil Zharkov. The Russian winger is a 2012 Oilers draft pick who was played for Torpedo and HC Sarkov in Russia’s second league after a stint with Belleville in the OHL. He’s…not very good? I’m not entirely sure what happens with him.
