college free agent season

College free agents hit the minor pros

The ECHL trade deadline is over, but there is still some player movement to be had. College seasons are wrapping up, and Norfolk adds another free agent. The Admirals already signed Division III Buffalo State (and Portsmouth) product Ryan Salkeld, but now they’ve gone to Division I.

Norfolk has signed defenseman Chris Williams to a contract, after a four-year career at the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Williams wasn’t much of a scorer at the NCAA level, but he did put up some points in the BCHL, a top pre-college junior league. The Admirals need some depth at defense, which Williams provides. Williams is a college teammate of Scott Allen.
