EA Sports’ NHL Series should team up with BTS
EA Sports and EA Canada: I come to you with an offer. In the upcoming NHL 17, fans will finally be able to play as their favorite ECHL teams. Getting the league in the game has been a long time coming. Despite being the “AA” level of hockey in North America for almost 20 years, it was not in the NHL series. You could play as a Czech Extraliga team, though.
Fans across the league are excited about the inclusion of their favorite squads. Count me as one of them. It’s good to see the Norfolk Admirals name and logo (hopefully all three jerseys) back in the game. I think there’s an opportunity here. As an independent ECHL blog with thousands of views a month (and even more popular Twitter account), I can bring some exposure for the product.
Here’s the deal: I’ll write about NHL 17 on this blog and Twitter, and even do a Twitch stream celebrating the ECHL in the game. I can highlight all of the teams including the defending Kelly Cup Champion Allen Americans. I’ll play a rivalry game between the Ads and the Wheeling Nailers. I’ll make an Alaska Aces-Reading Royals game happen. All of this to promote NHL 17 and the inclusion of the ECHL, a great league with great fans.
What I’m asking from you, EA Canada, is for a copy of NHL 17 and a PlayStation 4. Together, we can have an ECHLebration.
